Francesca Temitope Danmole

Francesca is a Psychology graduate who is dedicated to see young people breathe easier. She is passionate about young people realising and reaching their full potential; regardless of what their background, environment and circumstances say. Her previous roles have included Student Society President, Youth Worker, Mentor and Community Teacher.

Currently, Francesca is a Trustee for the British Youth Council and is the Deputy UK Commonwealth Regional Youth Caucus Representative. She also currently volunteers for the Royal Commonwealth Society as a Youth Summit facilitator and also as a team leader in the Children’s department in her church, where she oversees the learning/activities of children aged 10-13. At present, Francesca is undertaking an internship in the Youth Affairs division for the Commonwealth Secretariat. In 2010, Francesca was named a Future Leader on the Powerful Media UK Power List and a role Model for the London Borough of Hackney, where she grew up.

Francesca says her biggest accomplishment is the work she has done singlehandedly with young people. In the last 4 years, Francesca has devised and delivered the ‘My Future, My Present and Me’ workshop to young people in 8 London Boroughs. These sessions provide them with the time and space to explore their hopes and dreams, whilst enforcing the idea that today's actions shape tomorrow’s future. She also goes into schools/colleges/universities with the simple aim of inspiring her audience to ‘keep their eyes on the prize’; a message she repeats at the end of each of her video blogs.

Francesca is firmly convicted that education can be used a tool for empowering young people to be the change they wish to see and used as a means to equip them with the tools to be that change. Francesca wants her legacy to read that she enabled this to happen.
