Getting your exchange group started
To help get your exchange group started you could use one of our workshop activities. The download below include four activities which you can run to start exploring the idea of a youth exchange with the young people you work with.
-
Why Travel? - This sessions aims to explore why people travel and the impact it can have;
-
Where are we going? - This activity aims to focus the group on what they know of the partner country and why they want to go;
-
The recipe for our perfect exchange - The session aims to enable team members to identify the key ingredients for a successful exchange near the start of the project – and influence how the exchange could unfold;
-
How do others see us? - This activity helps young people to understand that people may have stereotyped views of each other;
Each activity takes 30 - 40 minutes, and the download below has full instructions on how to run these sessions.
