Thinking of running an exchange?

Have you been thinking about running a youth exchange? CYEC can provide you with support, guidance and funding to run a youth led exchange between a group in the United Kingdom and a group in the Commonwealth.

Youth Exchange Starter Pack

CYEC have produced a Youth Exchange Starter Pack with all the information you will need to start planning your Youth Exchange.

The priority themes for 2012/2013 are community cohesion, global and climate change, including links to the Millennium Development Goals.

In Particular we would ask you to be aware of the following:

• CYEC receives more grant applications that it can fund; meeting the criteria does not automatically result in a grant

• Priority will be given to new and innovative proposals

• Priority will be given to involving organisations not previously very active and involving young people who would not normally have the opportunity to participate in exchange programmes

• Recurrent funding for ongoing exchange is not guaranteed; if funding is possible it may not be at the level of prior awards

If your project falls outside CYEC's guidelines for funding but you would like to discuss your proposals with a staff member please contact CYEC.
